FFE

The FFE has been designed to provide a fibre connection point on building/facade or aerial deployment within the last mile of the FTTx network. The FFE is a UV-stable black polycarbonate enclosure with an IP55 rating and a fully detachable lid featuring snap-back hinges for easy access to all internal fibre management areas. It includes three dedicated sections: the inbound cable area supports both cable end and mid-span applications via a sealed entry port and provides loop storage for up to 1.5m of excess fibre; the splice management area accommodates up to 12 x 3A or 24 ANT splices, a crossover facility for flexible routing, and storage for 1.5m of 250μm fibre or 1.0m of 900μm fibre; the drop cable management area presents 12 SC or LC Simplex adaptors for pre-terminated drop cable connections and can house a PLC splitter (60mm x 7mm x 4mm), with angled adaptors for inspection prior to connection. A protective cover prevents access to the network and splice areas, and an integral seal to maintain weather resistance. This enclosure can be used within a P2P (Point to Point) or P2MP (Point to Multi Point) network.
