The FDNIR fibre splice closure delivers fibre to individual buildings or properties. The FDN is an oval shaped fibre closure with a high drop count making it the ideal solution for built up areas where there are multiple buildings to service. The FDN 16 and 59 Port Integrated Routing (IR) closures feature a polypropylene base with configurations of 58 or 15 round ports plus 1 oval port, accommodating cable diameters from 1.7–29.0mm with Cablelok seals and 6.0–35.0mm with heatshrink. The stainless steel mounting system and aluminium backplane support MKI and MKII trays, holding up to 36 SE-IR trays or 72 SC/SC-B trays, or a mix of both, with splice bridges available in 3A or ANT types, with splitter accommodation. The design allows easy fibre routing with a loop storage basket, and white trays and routing modules improve fibre color visibility. Fibre slot retaining blocks with foam pads manage various fibre counts. Blue cover plates mark removable parts, while red retaining clips and blocks aid visibility if dropped.
