The MDU S1 has been designed for deployment within MDU’s (Multi-Dwelling Unit). The S1 is an IP55, IK08, V0-rated enclosure made from UV-stable light grey (RAL7035) polycarbonate, featuring three management areas: inbound cable, fibre splice, and drop cable. It supports both end and mid-span cable applications with a sealed cable entry port (10–15mm diameter) and loop storage for 1.5m of excess fibre. The splice area holds up to 12 x 3A splices, with 30mm minimum bend radius management, crossover routing, and storage for 1.5m of 250μm and 1.0m of 900μm fibre. The drop cable area accommodates 12 LC or SC Simplex adaptors and one PLC splitter (60 x 7 x 4mm), with a protective cover, angled adaptors for inspection, 12 anchor guides for cables up to 6.0mm, and an integral seal to maintain IP55 protection.
