From moving to a bigger office and welcoming new team members, to being shortlisted for national awards, we are proud to be a thriving business in Brighton.

We were thrilled to move to the Brighton Marina development over the summer. The new office provides our growing team with a contemporary and beautifully located place to work and meet with customers and suppliers. As our business expands, we continue to focus on benefiting the local community, providing jobs and supporting Brighton’s economy. Our ambition is to be a workplace that nurtures and retains its staff, supporting them on their career journeys and making them feel excited to come to work at a rapidly rising company.

Paul Britnell, our Co-founder and Director, says: “Over the summer, we welcomed our newest team member, Marketing Manager Kate Quick. We are delighted to have her on board and know that she will drive our marketing plan forward, promoting Altnets and our brand, while aligning all initiatives with our values: integrity, quality, teamwork and simplicity.

“We want to be the place to work in Brighton; our mission is to be held in extremely high regard both within the UK telecoms industry and as a local employer.

“Our company culture and benefits support staff retention and motivation, particularly through both our internal and external training. Currently, two members of staff are going through externally accredited training in accounting and HR, and another has just completed a City & Guild qualification.”

In just a few years since the company launched in November 2020, we have become an award-winning telecoms supply chain expert and are currently the Procurement Consultant Partner of trade body ISPA UK (the Internet Services Providers’ Association), solidifying our knowledge of the industry. Over the past 12 months, we have showcased how Altnets is all about its customers, with a hand-picked team of staff behind the business’s outstanding customer retention and growth statistics. Client feedback on the service provided by the team is 100% positive and we have retained every single client since the business was launched.

Every member of the team represents what is at the heart of the business – creating a place that meets all of our customers’ needs and supports them throughout the often complicated telecoms procurement process. In doing so they have hugely grown the company’s client base.

From there, we have gone on to achieve even more success. At the start of the year. from hundreds of entries across every sector, we were ranked 35th overall in the Elite Business 100 (EB100). The list celebrates longevity in the marketplace, year-on-year growth and how businesses embrace innovation and contribute to their communities.

Recently, we were announced as a finalist in the Growth Business of the Year Award category at the 2023 Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards. A couple of weeks ago, our Co-Founder Sam Bangle travelled to London to present to a panel of award judges, highlighting how we have and will continue to support the UK telecoms industry to meet the government’s target of rolling out completely full-fibre broadband as soon as possible.

We are proud of our growth from just three employees in 2021 and are excited to continue to expand and to branch out into new market sectors. At Altnets we will never stand still – we will always strive to improve processes and be as efficient as possible.
